Inspection and refurbishment of steel gutters to large industrial warehouse, Croydon

Client
Royal Mail / ITC Concepts Limited
Project Details
The project involved the high pressure cleaning of the roof slopes to enable a condition survey to be undertaken. The large central box gutters, following cleaning, were identified with defective joints causing leaking. Similarly water ingress was noted around the head and side laps on the roof lights and the roof extract vents.
Product Selection:
Due to the large expanse of roof area and the early morning condensation problem, Belzona 3131 WT Membrane was selected for both the central gutters and the roof lights.
Interesting points:
Following erection of the perimeter handrail, then the banks of roof lights were protected with portable protective covers to provide temporary protection.
