Refurbishment of internal swimming pool and changing rooms

Client
Holy Cross Convent School for Girls
Project Details
This major refurbishment of an internal swimming pool involved required proven wall coating systems to improve the clean ability of the walls in the pool and changing areas, together with a decorative slip resistant surface to the floors. Surface preparation to remove old flaking coatings was essential to the long-term success of the project.
Product Selection
Belzona 5161/5261 WB Cladding / WB Laminate was selected for the wall surfaces in white and blue, with Belzona 5231 SG Laminate proposed for the changing room floors, but also including around the poolside.
Interesting point
In wet areas, where bare feet are involved, there needs to be common ground achieved between levels of slip resistance, individual comfort and clean ability. This was achieved by producing several sample panels and the client approving the system based on her bare, wet foot test!!
