Blunt Construction Limited (BCL) was established in 1998, following an internal restructuring of the company (which was originally Investors in People; National federation of builders

founded in 1959). Since the 1980's the company sought industrial contracts and established a client base which BCL still continues to service. Targeting specifically local authorities; utilities and the industrial and commercial sectors, BCL's aim is to offers its clients a professional service providing efficient and cost effective construction solutions.

To respond to specific requirements within the industry BCL has formed three trading divisions.

BCL Construction

New build, extensions & civils

BCL Construction targets the more traditional type of construction contracts; but also carries out bespoke civil engineering projects and structural repairs including structural concrete repairs and waterproofing.

BCL Applications

Maintenance, safety solutions

Provides a range of modern construction solutions to an ever-increasing range of problems encountered with the maintenance of property. Dealing with specific areas including roofs; walls; floors; safety considerations and adequate protection regarding chemical storage and use.

BCL Consultants

Advice & expertise

BCL Consultants provide advice on the selection and recommendation of suitable materials to overcome many of the difficulties experienced on site. This division also undertakes Project Management and Construction Supervision roles for a diverse range of clients.

Committed to excellence

Training / CSCS

BCL is fully committed to maintaining a trained workforce, with all employees being trained to NVQ2 status and holding Construction Site Certification Scheme (CSCS) Cards. Regular assessments are undertaken to ensure all employees maintain training competence levels.

Health & Safety

BCL maintain high standards that satisfy current Health & Safety regulations. The Construction (Design & Management) Regulation (CDM) is adopted as the requirement to be met on ALL contracts, even those outside of the criteria for compliance.

The company is committed to training our operatives and technicians with a high level of technical and health and safety expertise. We are pleased to have achieved initial Investors in People accreditation and subsequent re-accreditation.
